Project Edition Prints
Project Edition Prints are works we undertake from our own interest rather than client commissions.
Each project is unique both in subject and technical approach. Prints are available as limited editions.
'The Aberdeen Esplanade' project images capture the two mile stretch of the Aberdeen Beach Esplanade over the course of a whole year from April 2009 to May 2010 and show an almost time less, season less aspect to the landscape (apart from the unusual snowfall in December 2009). All images are shot with Ilford HP5 monochrome film using vintage cameras. Limited edition prints of the series are printed in Art Paper, 7 x 5 inches in 10 X 8 mounts.
'The Old Aberdeen' project commenced in July 2010 and will be completed in June 2011. This project will document parts of the conservation area of Old Aberdeen from The Spital to St. Machar Cathedral. So far seventeen prints have been produced. Additional prints will be added in the coming months. All images are shot with Ilford HP5 monochrome film using a vintage camera. These are 7 X 5 inches in 10 X 8 in. mounts printed on Art Paper.
The ‘Fittie’ Project commenced in October 2010 and will be completed in a year’s time. This project involves shooting with an adapted Nikon F80 35mm film camera using Black and White Ilford XP2 Film. Twenty four prints are available with more to be added later in the life of the project. Prints are available in 20 X 16in. mounts.
Two new projects commenced early in 2011.
'Nigg Bay' features 'semi abstract' images of the geological detail in this Site of Special Scientific Interest.
'The Beach' is a collection of medium format film images showing the desolation of sand dune areas of the north east coast from Aberdeen to Montrose
